Born in Bastogne, Belgium, on 7 August 2001, William Adji did not grow up in a musical family. Although he started relatively late, at the age of 8, the desire to play the violin was already present at the age of 3.
In 2009, he began playing the flute and violin at the Arlon and Bastogne academies, as an extra-curricular activity. It wasn't until he was 15 that he decided to take the violin seriously, and in 2019 he entered Shirly Laub's violin class at the Royal Brussels Conservatoire. After 4 years at the Conservatoire, William Adji will do a year's Erasmus at the HFMDK in Frankfurt, Germany, in Susanne Stoodt's class in 2023-2024.
Since 2019, William Adji has played with various orchestras such as the Young Belgian Strings, the Flanders Youth Orchestra, the Walloon Chamber Orchestra, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie...
