Tristan Roche

Artistic Direction / Clarinet

Tristan Roche is a French clarinettist who trained with Laura Ruiz Ferreres at the Hochschule Frankfurt am Main, as well as with a number of renowned clarinettists including Pascal Moraguès, Pierre Génisson, Florent Pujuila and Sandrine Pastor.

He developed a taste for chamber music at an early age, studying with Michel Moragues, Jaan Bossier and Marie Béreau.

His passion for the symphony orchestra has led him to play with many professional orchestras. He has been principal clarinet of the Philharmonisches Orchester Giessen, and has been invited to play with the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Lyon, the Frankfurt Opera Orchestra, the Orchestre Dijon-Bourgogne, the Staatsorchester Darmstadt, the European Academic Orchestra...

His desire to create chamber music projects has also led him to form or join a number of groups, including the Isolde Quintet, the Trio Kazé and the Liv Quartet.

He joins the Badische Philharmonie Pforzheim (Germany) for the 2024/2025 season as a clarinettist playing bass clarinet.
