Alejandro Costa Martì

Cello

Alejandro Costa Martí was born on 10 September 2001 in Paiporta, Valencia. He studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castellón, where he obtained the Diploma de Grado en Enseñanza Artísticas Superiores de Música with distinctions in both cello and chamber music. He also studied at the Forum Musikae in Madrid with María Casado. He has studied with a number of renowned teachers, including Troels Svane, Laszlo Fenyo, Valentin Radutiu, Asier Polo, Lluís Claret, Xavier Gagnepain and Salvador Bolón.

Between 2019 and 2021 he was a member of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana. Alejandro co-founded the Colora Quartet in October 2024, with whom he has given concerts in the Mozartsaal at the Frankfurt Opera House.

His dedication and talent have earned him several prizes and scholarships, including the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC) scholarship, the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend Musiziert prize in the cello-piano duo and contemporary music categories, and in December 2024 he was awarded the Förderpreis of the Wettbewerb of the Polytechnische Gesellschaft.

Since October 2023, he has been studying for his master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt with Susanne Müller Hornbach. Alejandro has been teaching cello at the Friedrichsdorf School of Music since December 2023.
